Miss Sydney wanted something fresh and natural for her first of two Senior sessions. I'm so grateful she and her lovely mama trusted me to shoot at this location, sight unseen. We had the beautiful park all to ourselves and enjoyed the most perfect sunset. The serenity of the still water and vastness of the space was almost surreal.
Sydney was such a trooper, wading in the brisk water and following my posing guidance without question. With one simple outfit change and using a few well-edited "props" we were able to achieve great variety. We incorporated a few fresh flowers for color, plus fun hats and a vibrant flower crown as a nod to her youthfulness. The armful of blossoming Dogwood branches, which my mom foraged to send along with me moments before Sydney and I met that evening, added such texture and life to those ethereal images. (Thanks, Mom! xo) I love that Sydney was even open to slipping on my Hunter wellies for a few shots! How fun are they with her darling dress?!
This young lady is absolutely radiant and unbelievably photogenic! I know the future for this little star is bright.
Congratulations on your graduations, doll! I cannot wait to shoot again this summer to celebrate!
